Presentation Primary School Midleton is also known locally as St Brigid’s Primary School. Inspired by its Catholic ethos, St Brigid’s primary school aims to educate in a professional, caring, safe and respectful environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Here in St Brigid’s we strive to create a welcoming and ordered environment in which our pupils feel secure, valued and in which their self-esteem is fostered. The provision of a holistic education is one of our core values and this includes high academic standards allied to a broad range of experiences which will develop the whole person and prepare him/her for the demands of further education and the changing society in which we all live.

In St Brigid’s we have an administrative principal, 23 mainstream class teachers, 5 full-time special education teachers, 3 full-time teachers of English to international students and a part-time teacher of German. We have 6 special needs assistants. We have a full-time secretary and caretaker.

Currently we have 630 pupils enrolled in St Brigid’s.  Boys and girls are taught together in Junior and senior infants, then the boys transfer to the Christian Brothers School (C.B.S.). First class to sixth class are girls only.
